Persona 3 Portable was an abridged PSP version of the game which the upcoming remaster is based on. Persona 3 originally launched in 2006 for PS2, while Persona 4 also launched on PS2 in 2008 before finding its way to PS3. The series was previously missing from Xbox consoles and Nintendo Switch, but now it looks like it will finally branch out to wider platforms. Atlus has revealed a release date of 19 January 2023 for both Persona 3 Portable and Persona 4 Golden after they were initially announced to arrive on PS4, PC, Nintendo Switch and Xbox consoles (as well as Game Pass).
